## Off-Chain Currencies

### 1. Arcaden Credits

Users can get credits either from top-ups using Crypto, or from giveaways and promotions. Arcaden Credits are categorised into pCredits (Paid Credits) and fCredits (Free Credits). Any on-chain related actions such as burning, minting or forging NFTs that incur gas fees can only be paid for using pCredits.

Other off-chain activities such as quests, opening collectible chests and mini games can use fCredits.

Shards are the equivalent of gold in Arcaden. Shards can be primarily used for purchasing collectibles, and will also be required for upgrading Weapons.
